How to make a referral to Rosie’s Place
To make a referral to Rosie’s Place, you must speak to a member of our intake team. To contact the intake team, you can send an email enquiry below, and they will call or email you back. Alternatively, you can call the landline during office hours. We cannot accept any referrals via email when there has been no discussion with a team member.
Criteria for referral to Rosie’s Place
Rosie’s Place is based in Rooty Hill in the Blacktown Local Government Area. We can accept referrals for people within the Blacktown LGA. For a referral outside this area, you can contact our service and we can discuss services in your area.
We see children and young people up to the age of 18 years. We also support mothers/families who the violence has also impacted.
Rosie’s Place will see children and young people who have been impacted by sexual assault and/or domestic and family violence. For domestic and family violence referrals, we are unable to see children who are living in active DFV.
We can also provide counselling to mothers and their children who have sought freedom from violent partners/fathers.
Rosie’s Place can also provide support and counselling to children under the age of ten who have displayed problematic and harmful sexual behaviours, along with support for their families.
Anyone can refer to Rosie’s Place, we do not need a letter from a medical practitioner. There is no cost for attending counselling at Rosie’s Place.
All clients need to be aware of any referral made on their behalf. We cannot accept a referral when consent has not been given.
We can provide outreach for some clients to homes and schools, etc. However, the geographic area for outreach is within a 10km radius of Rooty Hill.
